According to the 2000 Census, nearly 1 in 5 U.S. residents speak a language other than English at home. Of the 47 million residents who speak another language at home, 28% speak Spanish.
This area of WebJunction offers resources for serving Spanish-speaking patrons including research, outreach management tools, information and resources in Spanish for direct use by patrons, tools for increasing access to technology, and our growing Community of Practice, focused on outreach to Spanish speakers, that evolved from WebJunction's Spanish Language Outreach Program .
