How May We Help You?

WebJunction provides online learning community services to a wide variety of library organizations. Our partners range from state libraries that develop custom learning communities, to library organizations that use our deep catalog of online course on technical, general and library skill-related subjects for staff training.

In keeping with WebJunction’s mission, we offer our courses and services at the lowest possible price to the library community. We invest up front in development, customization, testing and licensing, so that we can pass substantial savings onto our partners compared to most commercial solutions. Our services are fully hosted and include ongoing upgrades and feature enhancements. All of our partners are assisted by our professional partner management and support team.

Perhaps the best reason to partner with WebJunction is that all our services are built on the foundation of the WebJunction.org community, a thriving group of library staff who represent the worldwide library profession by sharing and contributing knowledge and experience, using a suite of powerful social tools found only at WebJunction. By taking advantage of any of the following services, you tap into this vibrant ongoing conversation.

Services for Your Organization

We partner with all types of libraries, library systems and library organizations. Here's how we can help yours:

State, Provincial and National Libraries

Among the many complex challenges your organization faces, you are striving to ensure the support and success of the staff working for libraries in your region. You may need to provide or coordinate continuing education, or perhaps you need your staff to share ideas and best practices, or collaborate to be more effective. WebJunction can help to address these needs. Our Community Partner Program brings our courses, resources, and community of library professionals together into a customized, comprehensive training and development resource that supports staff in your region.

Library Systems and Academic Libraries

To support an effective training and continuing education program is often a challenge: How do you find and provide timely, relevant, quality course materials and deliver them in an affordable way that doesn’t pull your staff off their duties for extended periods of time? WebJunction’s extensive course catalog contains flexible and professional courses available for substantial discounts if you make a volume course purchase.

Consortia and Regional Systems

If you are tasked with providing continuing education programs to staff across your library network, you will find significant savings when you make a volume course purchase from WebJunction's extensive course catalog. If you are primarily focused on group purchasing, you will find that our mission is to deliver training services to libraries at the lowest price we can sustain, and that applies to everything we can offer consortial member systems.

Library Service Organizations

With your membership or participants dispersed all over the region, country or even the world, the need for a single, simple and powerful web portal to bring them all together online is greater than ever. WebJunction offers hosted Custom Communities designed to meet that need. Plus your members will also be members in the broader WebJunction community, adding instant depth and value to their experience on your site.

Special, Corporate and School Libraries

Quality online training, in the right formats and flexible enough to support ever-busier library staff, is an ideal complement to your continuing education program. WebJunction’s course catalog includes both library-specific training and courses on a broad range of technical and business topics. By making a volume course purchase, your staff get access to great training at a price that’s within reach of your budget.

Partners & Partner Programs

Every organization that works with WebJunction is a partner to us—it’s core to our philosophy of working closely with the library community. Whether you buy a couple courses for your team or set up a custom learning community, you will get access to the same quality and variety of support, service and mutual collaboration. We offer one formal partner program in support of specific collections of our services: the Community Partner  Program. For a complete list of active partners visit our Partners page.

Community Partner Program

The Community Partner Program is WebJunction’s unique offering for state, regional, provincial and national libraries or similar organizations. Community Partners use this unique blend of courses, resources, and community to offer fast, customized support to their region. The program includes the Custom Community, Custom Catalog, and Online Courses. Pricing varies by organization size and type, with quotes available on request.

Testimonials

“The Georgia Course Catalog...alone is worth its weight in gold. Library staff will have access to high-quality courses at the time of need, and they won’t have to spend a penny on travel.”

Pat Carterette, Director of Continuing Education for Georgia Public Library Service

"WebJunction will help provide our state's public libraries with the tools we need to create locally relevant content, discussions and training programs. And it will save our libraries thousands of dollars in training fees, because library staff in community partner states enjoy free access to online classes that would otherwise cost from $20 to $400 or more per person. We are very pleased to have been asked to join WebJunction as a partner and to participate in the program at this level.”

Julie Walker, Deputy State Librarian, Georgia Public Library Service
