Library Lists
Listservs have been a great way for library staff around the country and even the world to share their best practices for years. Some of the most popular library listservs are hosted and available to you for free through WebJunction. You'll find a complete list of these listservs in the Documents section of this page. One of the benefits of listservs is that you can choose to get the listserv messages delivered to your email as soon as they come in, or wait and get them in a format called "digest" which can include all of the messages from the day. You can also post questions to these listservs to get feedback and answers from your colleagues. Remember that in addition to offering access to these listservs, you can also browse the Discussion areas that are part of many of the WebJunction resources. Wherever you see a Discussion tab, you can participate in discussions about that specific topic. This can include responding to a question or asking one of your own.
