WebJunction Indiana classes will be requested and processed differently to ensure responsible use of the State sponsored and paid for courses. If you would like to take a WebJunction class at no charge, fill out this form http://in.webjunction.org/in/courseapp to request the authorization code. The authorization code will be provided once the State Library verifies the individual making the request has no more than four uncompleted classes, and less than 10 completed classes in the past twelve months. Otherwise, a $20 fee will apply to the class. (The $20 fee is half of the regular price because of the State Library's membership in WebJunction.)

These new requirements are being put in place to reduce the misuse of the system. While many users have appropriately signed up for only the courses they can complete, there have been frequent occasions where people have signed up for classes but never completed them. (Indiana has less than a 50% completion rate.) We have found that one individual registered for more than 100 classes, but eleven months later had completed none.

If you've taken any of the online courses available to you through the Course Catalog, you're already aware of their value and convenience. These quality courses cover a wide array of topics and competencies and address library-specific topics, interpersonal skills, leadership and management and technology skills.  In the last twelve months, WebJunction Indiana users have registered for over 3,000 courses, completing less than half in that 12 month period.

 LEUs are available to Indiana public library staff based on course duration or course length (NOT CONTACT HOURS*) on an hour for hour basis, .5 hour is rounded up to the hour.  If both contact hours and course length/course duration are listed, please use course length to determine the LEUs received.

*Library U courses are hour for hour for contact hours.
