Description/Responsibilities: Anderson Public Library, located about 30 miles northeast of Indianapolis in Madison County, is seeking an Assistant Director who serves as second-in-command of all library operations and is responsible for the personnel functions of administration that include recruiting, hiring, and orienting employees and volunteers. AVON: CHILDREN'S SERVICES OUTREACH LIBRARIAN
Description/Responsibilities: The Avon-Washington Township Public Library is seeking a Children's Services Outreach Librarian. The ideal candidate must have strong customer service skills, demonstrate the ability to develop and coordinate outreach programs, and enjoy working in multiple environments with children of a variety of ages.  The candidate must be dependable, enthusiastic, organized, friendly and outgoing. DALE: LIBRARY DIRECTOR
Description/Responsibilities: The Lincoln Heritage Public Library is seeking an energetic, creative, and skilled administrator to lead a library in Dale. Candidate must have excellent supervisory and organizational skills, and the ability to promote teamwork throughout the library. This position offers an excellent opportunity to lead an already successful library to its fullest potential, and to develop and oversee a branch library in Chrisney. WEST LAFAYETTE: DIGITAL COLLECTIONS COORDINATOR (Job Number: 0801592)
Description/Responsibilities: Purdue University Archives & Special Collections seeks a Digital Collections Coordinator. This position processes new and existing collections by arranging, preserving, and writing finding aids using DACS (Describing Archives: A Content Standard). Position is also responsible for preparation of materials for scanning within the Purdue University Libraries, Archives and Special Collections (ASC). This includes identifying unique photos and documents and preparing initial metadata to accompany the scans. (All metadata is finalized and approved by the Metadata Librarian.) Coordinator organizes the metadata for compound objects to facilitate their loading into the CONTENTdm digital asset management system. As needed, composes descriptions for digital objects and submits the descriptions to the archivist for review and approval. Performs quality control for items scanned by outside vendors for ASC. Performs custom scanning upon request. Prepares specialized web pages, video productions and other media in support of the mission of the Archives and Special Collections unit, as needed. Supervises student workers in the Digital Initiatives Section and directs their work. Works with the Oral History Librarian to preserve digital oral histories for ASC. Serves as reference assistant, as needed, by answering questions that pertain to ASC at the reference desk, by email, and over the phone. Assists researchers in using archival materials, monitors Reading Room researchers, and explains and enforces ASC policies and procedures. Assists in designing exhibits using ASC materials. Will also be required to retrieve and shelve archival/book material, file pamphlets, brochures and vertical file additions; maintain oral history database, and order archival supplies for ASC. Fulfills patron photocopy orders and other duties as assigned. Position may be required to work some evenings and weekends as assigned.
Qualifications: Required: Associates degree in history, humanities, liberal arts, social sciences or closely related field. Two years customer service/public service experience. Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and significant experience using Adobe Photoshop; basic knowledge of HTML and Dreamweaver (or other web authoring software. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact tactfully and courteously with faculty, staff, students, and public. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with supervisors and peers and work cooperatively in a team environment. Demonstrated dependability and flexibility; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail; work independently and efficiently. Preferred: Previous library experience. Metadata creation and complex digitization project experience highly desired. Interest in working with archival materials and making them more accessible. Additional Information: Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds frequently and 40 pounds occasionally. FLSA: Non-Exempt (Eligible For Overtime), Retirement Eligibility: PERF Contributions Immediately.

Description/Responsibilities: 
The Indiana Historical Bureau seeks a History Education Specialist/Web Master. The History Education Specialist 4s and the Program Coordinator 4 form the Programs and Publications Division. Bureau programs and publications are achieved through a team approach, which encompasses all agency staff. Each History Education Specialist may take the lead for various functions in the job description. The incumbent of this position being advertised will be the manager of Web functions for the agency.
History Education Specialist 4s, along with other employees, play an active part in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Bureau programs, publications, activities, and projects and advising the Director on various topics. Because of the small number of employees in the Bureau, the History Education Specialists, and other employees, are called upon to carry out various administrative duties necessary to the operation of the agency.
Qualifications: 
Four (4) years full-time professional experience in the development or coordination of an historical or cultural program. Substitutions: Accredited college training in any of the following areas may substitute for the required experience with a maximum substitution of four (4) years. (Fifteen (15) semester hours in Anthropology; Archaeology; Education; History; or in a related area.)
